Need more chocolate in your life?  We got you with these Fudgy Chocolate Chunk Brownies!

These easy-to-make decadent chocolate chunk brownies are so chocolatey, thick & fudgy and best of all, home-made!

Super easy to make on the stovetop in about 5 minutes!  We could not resist sharing these brownies with the world!

Perfect with a really cold glass of milk or topped with a huge scoop of vanilla ice cream over a warmed up heavenly brownie delight!  *swooning so hard right now*

I haven't posted any chocolate recipes on the blog for about a month.  That is totally unacceptable and I hope you will forgive me.

I'm a bad chocolate mom. *holds head in shame*.  Especially when everyone that knows me, knows chocolate is my every 'thing'.  Ugh...but when it comes to desserts, there are so many avenues one can venture down and they all win in my book!

Anyways, chocolate is back in a big way with these comforting, home-made brownies.  MY favorite dessert of all time, brownies!  Are you on board with brownies too?

To take these next level, use your favorite chopped milk chocolate or dark chocolate bars, chunks or chips to bring out even more chocolate flavor.  Yes, we went there!

If you're afraid it's too much chocolate, I can assure you it's not, as long as you don't go chocolate chunk or chip overload.  Then that is on you. 🙂

You can control it and honestly, we just put in a half cup's worth total.  Some were added in the brownies and then we topped them off with some more chocolate chunks for visuals.

How to make Chocolate Chunk Fudgy Brownies!

    • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease an 8 or 9 inch square baking pan with butter or non-stick spray and line with parchment paper for easy removal.
    • In a medium sized saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Remove from heat, then whisk in the sugar until smooth and creamy.
    • Once that is combined, mix in your cocoa and continue whisking until fully combined.
    • Add eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla and salt.
    • Once all that is mixed very, very well, add in your flour and stir to just to combine, without over-mixing.
    • Add chocolate chip/chunks and stir, so chocolate starts to melt in.
    • Pour into prepared pan and swirl mixture with knife to further distribute chocolate and spread evenly. Add more chocolate chips/chunks on top if desired.
    • Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Times will vary with size pan used. 8x8 will require more time (thicker brownies) than 9x9 pan (thinner brownies). Check brownies at 25 minutes to see progress.
    • One brownies are baked, cool the brownies, slice and serve as they are or with some ice cream and hot fudge! YUM!
    • Store homemade brownies at room temperature tightly wrapped with plastic wrap or in an airtight container. They will stay soft and chewy for several days after they’re made, if there isn't a brownie stealer in the house! 🙂

See that crackly chocolate?  Well you get that by adding in the chocolate chunks at the end while the brownie mixture is still warm.

Thank you!  Then add some more on top for extra chocolate drama!

I make tons of brownies and actually made a brownie recipe that was absolutely underwhelming. Not this recipe…it’s probably the best recipe I’ve made yet and I’ve been baking for well over 50 years. You must try it…its well worth the effort.

I love brownies, and I think I'm pretty good at making them (Well haven't baked any for a long time), but these ones? I swear these are one of the best brownies I've ever seen! Such a wonderful texture and exterior - just like perfect brownies should look like.
