    These Best Brookie Bars will definitely prevail the best of both worlds when you bake ultra chocolatey brownies and soft-batch chocolate chip cookies together to get the best delicious, amazing Cookie Brownie Bars ever!  

    And honestly?  Just feel free to inhale these gorgeous brookie bars!  (I won't tell, I promise, I'll be right there with you.)  At least for a minute or three.  🙂

    This brookie bar recipe of yumminess will definitely get your attention.  It's cool the way the cookie dough and brownies and all those chocolate chips all inter-connect with each other, don't ya think?

    Ingredients You Need

    Brownies:

    • granulated sugar
    • unsalted butter
    • unsweetened cocoa powder
    • egg
    • vanilla extract
    • all-purpose flour
    • baking powder
    • salt
    • white chocolate chips or chunks

    Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

    • butter
    • granulated sugar
    • brown sugar
    • egg
    • vanilla extract, optional
    • all-purpose flour
    • baking soda
    • salt
    • semi-sweet chocolate chips + mini chocolate chips or whatever you want to use.

    How to make the Best Brookie Bar Recipe!

    Brownie Recipe

    1. Place the sugar, butter, and cocoa in large, microwave-safe bowl and microwave in 20 second intervals until the butter is completely melted and stir together until smooth and creamy.
    2. Add the egg until completely incorporated.
    3. Stir in the vanilla extract, optional.
    4. Add the flour, baking powder, and salt, stirring together until smooth, then stir in white chocolate chips and set aside.

    Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Recipe

    1. Melt the butter in a large microwave safe bowl for 30-45 seconds until melted. (If butter is too hot, let it cool just a bit).
    2. Stir in the sugars. Add vanilla and egg and mix well.
    3. Combine dry ingredients together and stir into the butter/sugar mixture and mix together.
    4. Stir in chocolate chips. Scoop Cookie dough (about 2 tablespoon) into a parchment paper lined or sprayed with non-stick cooking spray prepared 9x13 pan, randomly in pam.
    5. Fill in the spaces with scoops of brownie dough.
    6. Just keep adding scoops of each dough until finished using dough up. Smush the cookie dough and brownie scoops down so they touch each other. Add some extra chocolate chips on top and sprinkles if you want to make it more celebratory!
    7. Bake for 25-28 minutes. Remember it will continue to cook as it cools so be careful not to overbake. Check it at the 25 minute mark.
    8. Remove from oven and place on a cooling rack to finish cooling.
    9. Once cooled, cut brookies bars recipe into squares and serve.  Store in airtight container.

    Ingredients
      

    Brownie Dough:

    • ⅔ cup granulated sugar
    • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter
    • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    • 1 large egg
    • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
    • ½ cup all-purpose flour
    • ½ teaspoon baking powder
    • Dash of Salt
    • 1 cup white chocolate chips or chunks

    Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough:

    • ½ cup butter cold
    • ⅓ cup + 2 Tablespoons white sugar
    • ½ cup brown sugar
    • 1 large egg
    • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract optional
    • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
    • Heaping ¼ teaspoon baking soda
    • Heaping ¼ teaspoon salt
    • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips + ½ cup mini chocolate chips or whatever you want to use.

    Instructions
     

    • Preheat oven to 350ºF.

      I haven't tried it, but this cookie dough will spread out if you did make cookies. But if you wanted to try it, an option could be, is to place the dough (s) in mini muffin tins or regular muffin tins to get cookie cup-like cookies. The dough is not chilled, so maybe if you tried chilling the dough it might work, but I would also add in more flour and maybe some baking powder to give them some structure, but I would have to experiment. If you try it and it works out, let us know.
