How to Make Layered Strawberry Cheesecake Delight
Make Graham Cracker Crust
- Make the graham cracker crust by mixing graham cracker crumbs, melted butter and 1 tablespoon granulated sugar together and press into an 8 inch baking dish/pan.
- Place crust in freezer for 5-10 minutes.
Add Chopped Strawberry Layer
- Take 1 ½ cups of chopped strawberries and mix with 2 tablespoons of strawberry preserves (optional) and layer on top of graham cracker crust.
Make Whipped Cream (to also add in strawberry mousse/cream cheese filling & top)
- In a large mixing bowl, mix together the whipping cream and ½ cup of powdered sugar for 4-6 minutes to get whipped cream and transfer to another bowl to make the cream cheese filling, set aside/fridge. Should make 6 cups.
Make a Cream Cheese Filling (to also add in mousse)
- Mix together softened cream cheese until mixed well.
- Add in 2 ½ cups of the whipped cream, ½ cup powdered sugar and mix together well. Reserve 1 cup of this cream cheese filling to add to strawberry mousse, set aside.
Add Cream Cheese Layer
- Add remaining cream cheese filling and layer on top of strawberries. Make the mousse.
Make Strawberry Mousse
- In a blender or food processor add 1 cup of strawberries and 2 tablespoons granulated sugar and puree the strawberries until smooth, approximately 1-2 minutes.
- Transfer pureed strawberries to a medium-sized bowl, add 1 cup of the whipped cream, reserved 1 cup of cream cheese filling, 4 tablespoons dry strawberry jello and 2 tablespoons strawberry preserves/jam (optional) and mix together.
Add Strawberry Mousse Layer
- Layer strawberry mousse on top of cream cheese layer.
Add Whipped Cream Layer
- Add remaining 2 ½ cups of whipped cream to the top of the dessert and smooth out evenly or pipe the whipped cream on top if you wish.
Decorate Top with Strawberries
- Place additional strawberries on top, if desired when you serve dessert. Can also add sprinkles or dust with freeze dried strawberry powder.
- Dessert needs to be chilled 4 hours or overnight. Serve and enjoy this strawberry layered delight!
Storing Strawberry Cheesecake Layered Dessert
- Serving: Keep strawberry cheesecake layered dessert at room temperature for up to 2 hours before it will need to go back into the refrigerator.
- Fridge: Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
- Freeze: Cover the strawberry lasagna with two plastic wrap layers or foil and freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw it in the fridge the night before serving.
Substitutions & Shortcuts
- For this fluffy strawberry dessert, you can always substitute the strawberries for blueberries, raspberries or maybe peaches! It's all good!
- I used heavy whipping cream because I LOVE the taste of fresh whipped cream, but if you want a shortcut, you can always use Cool Whip or something similar. You'll need a total of 6 cups or 24 ounces.
- For the strawberry puree, you can just use chopped strawberries if you wish. However, the strawberry puree helps makes the strawberry mousse color that pretty pale pink color, along with the strawberry jello and strawberry preserves/jam/jelly.
- Add pink or red food coloring to your strawberry mousse filling for more vibrant color if desire.
- I used strawberry preserves in the chopped strawberry layer to give the strawberries more sweet flavor! You can skip it if you wish, but I always have strawberry jam or jelly on hand, so it made sense to pump up the strawberry flavor with it and add it in the strawberry mousse as well!
All you have to do to make this fluffy strawberry dessert is make the layers and assemble them together! Then wait until the final moment you can devour it, once it's chilled for 4 hours or overnight!
You may want to eat the whole pan of this strawberry lasagna deliciousness and not tell anyone? Seriously yum!

I love how little hands on time this dessert requires, and referring to it as a "Strawberry Lasagna" makes it sound so totally tempting. YUM!
