Ok, drum rollllllll please! Chocolate Banana Muffins are the 'hot-diggity bomb'...I'm sayin'. These delicious muffins are loaded with chocolate and banana flavor with semi-sweet chocolate chips in every bite!
Really easy to make and not a lot of ingredients. Who doesn't love that? These are super moist and have such a rich chocolatey taste, and I'll just warn you now...it's hard to stop eating them once you take that first bite!
Ok...don't mind me, but I kept finding excuses to be in the kitchen and I just couldn't stay away from my new sweet best friends. Warm or room temperature, they are scrumptious. Trust me, I know.
My mom used to bake the old fashioned banana bread with walnuts when we were growing up, so banana bread has always been a family favorite, but adding chocolate just makes them super delish!
These chocolate banana muffins were ideal for sharing at work the next day. Saved me from eating all of them. Just call me Miss Piggy!

Substitutions
I used ¼ cup vegetable oil & ¼ cup olive oil in my recipe – I try to use more olive oil in a lot of recipes because it’s so much better for you! But you can use any oil you have on hand.

I have made these many times with the kiddos and they are always loved.
I have even substituted unsweetened applesauce for the oil and do 3/4 c wheat flour + 3/4 c all purpose (for the 1 1/2 c total) and they still turn out great. Also, we love using dark chocolate chips. Happy we found this recipe-thank you!
