Of course, if you're using fresh peaches, it will require just a little more time to peel and slice the peaches, but totally worth it. Using juicy, fresh peaches are the best bet, especially when they are in season!

Easy Peach Cake Cobbler
Ingredients
Peach Layer:
- 6-8 peaches, depending on size peeled, cored and sliced (5 to 6 cups depending how many peaches you want)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ¼ heaping teaspoon salt
Cake Cobbler Layer:
- ½ cup unsalted butter or 1 stick
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- ¼ heaping teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk of choice I used unsweetened almond milk, buttermilk also a good option
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Add the sliced peaches, sugar and salt to a large microwaveable bowl. Mix and microwave for about 2 minutes until sugar is dissolved. Also can cook on stovetop in saucepan over medium heat for a few minutes as well. Set aside.
- Melt butter and add to a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Stir in the milk, and stir until just combined. Pour cobbler batter over the melted butter and spread out.
- Spoon the peaches and juice over the batter.
- Sprinkle cinnamon over the top of the batter.
- Bake 40-50 minutes. Serve warm, it's delicious!

I wanr to try this recipe but dont understand your note about canned peaches? Do u pour the enough cans to equal a qt. Into a qt jar for measuring purposes? Then proceed with recipe? Thanks so much.
