    Brownie Truffle Bites

We can't, because truffles are the perfect party candy for all of your holiday, party or family get-togethers!

This brownie batter truffle recipe is the best way to serve delicious, dressed up brownie bites, when it comes to chocolate candy-inspired brownie treats!!  You may enjoy these Pumpkin Oreo Truffles, these Chocolate Coconut Truffles and these Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Truffles too!

    EASY DECADENT BROWNIE TRUFFLES

3 Main Components for Brownie Truffles

This easy treat is basically 3 main components of brownies, cream cheese and melting chocolate. Keep in mind, when you make boxed brownies, you will need to use oil, eggs and water to make the boxed brownie mix or you can use pre-made brownie bites, use leftover brownies or make your own homemade brownies.

To make this brownie truffle recipe easy for me, I used a box brownie mix.  I baked them, then added some cream cheese to the baked brownies, to make these brownie truffles ultra creamy and fudgy.

Freeze them for 30 minutes, The truffles will be easier to manage and dip in chocolate when they are hard and cold.  Besides dipping them in chocolate, you can also roll them in sprinkles or cocoa powder as well for a nice festive touch!

Textures of Brownie Truffles You Can Make

Depending on what you want your brownie texture to be on the inside, there are different ways to achieve this.  You may want them with a more creamy texture, or you may want your brownie truffles more like brownies on the inside, or maybe you want a combination of both?

Whatever you do, they will still be amazing, because you really can't go wrong with truffles using a brownie mix, then covering them in decadent chocolate! YUM!

    • For super creamy brownie truffles, add 8 ounces of cream cheese and mix in food processor or use mixer..  Scoop out balls of brownie mixture with a spoon or small cookie scoop, because you will not be able to roll them until later.  Place scooped out brownie mixtures onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet and place in freezer for 20 minutes, take out and then roll into balls. Place back in freezer for another 15-20 minutes. Dip each ball individually in melted chocolate.
    • For more brownie filled truffles, use about 2 ounces of cream cheese or leave out the cream cheese completely.  Use a fork to crumble the moist brownies, while they’re warm or cold.  Roll into balls and place in freeze for 30 minutes, then dip each ball individually in melted chocolate.  If brownies are too dry and crumbly, add about 2 ounces cream cheese to moisten them up.
    • For the best of both worlds, for perfectly combined cream cheese brownie truffles, add 4 ounces of cream cheese with the brownies instead of 8 ounces and mix together with mixer, food process or a fork.  Any of the options will do and mix together to get the texture you are looking for.
    • For brownies that are left-over or brownies that may be overbaked, add anywhere from 2 - 8 ounces of cream cheese to get some moisture back into your brownie mixture to make truffles.

    BROWNIE TRUFFLES

Ingredients You Need for Brownie Truffle Recipe

    • 1 9×13 pan of baked brownies (I used Ghirardelli Brownie Mix) + oil, eggs and water to make the boxed brownie mix.)
    • cream cheese (softened)
    • Ghirardelli White, Milk Chocolate or Dark Chocolate Melting Wafers (I used all 3 melting chocolates and then took the leftovers and used that chocolate for the tops for chocolate drizzles)
    • Other garnishes - roll chilled truffles in colorful sprinkles or unsweetened cocoa powder if you don't want to coat in melted chocolate.

    EASY BROWNIE TRUFFLES

    How to Make Brownie Truffles

    1. Follow the directions on the boxed brownie mix and bake as instructed. Once the brownies are fully baked, allow them to cool completely.
    2. Take the brownies and cut off any hard edges keeping only the soft brownies.
    3. Place the brownies into a food processor. Pulse to crumble the brownies. (Can also use a fork or hand mixer to incorporate brownie truffle recipe)
    4. Add the cream cheese to the food processor and pulse until the brownies and cream cheese are fully incorporated. The more you pulse the creamier the truffles will be, so if you want more brownie texture, pulse without overmixing.  If you want creamier, pulse mixture more.
    5. Using a tablespoon or a 1 inch cookie scoop, scoop the brownie mixture onto a cookie sheet that has been lined with parchment paper. Place into the freezer for about 20-30 minutes so brownies will be easier to roll into balls.
    6. Remove the cookie sheet from freezer and start rolling the brownie dough into rounder balls.
    7. Place the round brownie dough balls back into the freezer for another 10 minutes.
    8. Start melting the chocolate wafers in a microwave safe bowl. Start with 30 seconds seconds and stir. Then I do 15 second increments as needed until the chocolate is melted, stirring between each interval.
    9. Dip the brownie truffles into the chocolate, tapping to let any excess drip off. Place back on the cookie sheet.
    10. If adding sprinkles, do so now before the chocolate hardens. Continue to dip and sprinkle until all of the truffles are complete.
    11. If adding chocolate drizzles to tops, just use leftover chocolate you have melted or melt another chocolate flavor and place in a ziplok or pastry bag with a small hole or piping tip and zig zag chocolate drizzles on top.
    12. Store truffles in the freezer or fridge until they are ready to serve. Allow them to sit at room temperature for 5 minutes to soften before serving.

    BROWNIE TRUFFLE RECIPE

    How to Store Brownie Truffles

Store them in an airtight container to keep them fresh. The insides of the truffles will be very soft, so it is recommended to refrigerate or freeze the truffles when you are not serving them. Allow them to sit at room temperature for 5 minutes to soften before serving.
