Whip up some of this decadent Peppermint Marshmallow Fudge for the holidays!  This 5 minute, super-easy chocolate fudge is so creamy delish with mini marshmallows and crushed peppermint crunch all throughout!

It's just what celebrating sweets and treats is all about over Christmas!  We can't do Christmas without some peppermint or chocolate can we?  You may love this Peppermint Candy Brownie Trifle and these Candy Cane Frosted Cookies!

    peppermint fudge recipe with marshmallows

This is one of the easiest, microwaveable fudges to make when you want to totally impress, make something home-made and save time in the kitchen all at the same time!  I love recipes like this!  Simple and quick!  The hardest part is waiting for the peppermint marshmallow fudge recipe to set up.  But that's ok!

You can make this fudge ahead of time and then come back to it when you're ready to cut it into squares and gift, serve on a party tray or just do the obvious, DEVOUR!

How to Make Peppermint Marshmallow Fudge

    1. Line an 8X8 pan with wax or parchment paper, set aside.
    2. Super Easy Microwave Method:  Melt chocolate and butter in microwave in 30 second increments, stirring in between until chocolate mixture is melted, approx 2 minutes.  Add sweetened condensed milk and stir to combine.  Add ½ of the crushed peppermint (reserve some for top), peppermint extract or vanilla extract and marshmallows if desired.  Top with remaining crushed peppermint candy.
    3. Stove-top Method: Melt chocolate, butter, and condensed milk in a double broiler (or sauce pan on top of another pan of simmering water) over medium heat; stirring constantly until fully melted. Remove from heat. Add ½ of the crushed peppermint (reserve some for top), peppermint extract or vanilla extract and marshmallows if desired.  Top with remaining crushed peppermint candy.
    4. Chill for at least 2 hours or overnight in the refrigerator.
    5. Cut into squares and serve.

How to Cut the Fudge Easier

    • To cut peppermint fudge with marshmallows, try warming your knife in hot water between cuts to keep it the marshmallow from sticking.
    • Wipe the hot knife dry before cutting into the fudge, then wipe the knife clean between cuts.

    If You're a Peppermint Freak

Of course, in this fudge, you can amp up the peppermint vibe and add some peppermint extract and even more crushed & chopped peppermint. But, don't go crazy with the peppermint extract.  It can overwhelm.  I normally add vanilla extract instead, because I'm always afraid of the peppermint extract taking over and there's a lot of peppermint flavor in the crushed peppermint.

But if you're a peppermint freak, you might see differently.  😉

Let's make some Peppermint Marshmallow Fudge NOW!  This festive peppermint marshmallow fudge recipe with the fluffy marshmallows is amazing!

Chocolate and peppermint are a perfect holiday marriage of flavours! While I prefer old-fashioned fudge most of the times (As it's not as sweet), this version looks irresistible, too!
