    3 Ingredient Oreo Truffles

These decadent 4th of July Oreo Truffles are quick, easy and the perfect no-bake sweet treat for your 4th of July party fun!  All that is required is 3 INGREDIENTS, besides the sprinkles on top!

Who can resist these addictive white chocolate truffles filled with a soft Oreo chocolate cookie filling?  Not I!

These truffles are a family favorite candy recipe, as well as these Butterfinger Truffles, No Bake Cookie Dough Cups, Pumpkin Oreo Truffles, these Chocolate Coconut Truffles and these scrumptious Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Truffles!

I love that this patriotic Oreo balls recipe is so simple to make, yet they look so fancy when you serve them on a party tray or right into your mouth!

These are the perfect little no-bake treats to celebrate the red, white and blue!

    Ingredients You Need

    • 36 Oreos
    • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
    • 16 oz. white chocolate chips or melting wafers
    • Red, white and blue sprinkles, gold stars or Oreo crumbs, for decorating

    How to Make Oreo Truffles

    1. Crush the Oreos (with filling) in a food processor or place in a zip-lock bag and crush with a rolling pin.
    2. Add the cream cheese and pulse or mix with rubber spatula until the mixture is well combined and smooth.
    3. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
    4. Scoop the mixture into balls about 1-inch in diameter - I like to use cookie scoop.
    5. Place the cookie balls in the freezer until well chilled, at least 15 minutes to an hour.
    6. Remove truffles from freezer and dip in melted chocolate chips or melts.
    7. Sprinkle with red, white and blue sprinkles, gold stars or anything patriotic colored or add reserved Oreo crumbs before the chocolate sets up.
    8. Let chocolate set, refrigerate and enjoy!

    Tips for Oreo Truffle Recipe

    • Use regular, not Double Stuf Oreos. Double stuff has too much cream filling for these.
    • Use full fat cream cheese.  It tastes better than the low-fat, it is thinner and not as rich.
    • Be sure to chill the Oreo filling before you try to dip them, otherwise bits of Oreos will break off into the chocolate.
    • Use a fork or dipping tool to dip in chocolate, then use a spoon to pour more chocolate over them, then lift and let excess run off.
    • Storage & Freezer Options: For best results, store in an air tight container in the refrigerator up to 1 week or in the freezer up to 3 months. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight.  They can sit at room temperature up to 2 hours when serving.
    • Variation: You can use different flavor of Oreos, like the red velvet Oreos or the golden Oreos are excellent!
