Decadent, rich and creamy peanut butter and chocolate gooey deliciousness in fudge brownies are what these Rich 'n Gooey Buckeye Bars are all about trouble!

These are the ultimate treat for buckeye lovers! This Buckeye Pie is definitely right down that alley too along with this Buckeye Candy!

"Buckeyes" are peanut butter candy cream rolled into balls and then dipped into melted chocolate, leaving a 1-inch round circle of peanut butter visible on the top. They look just like buckeyes. Buckeye candies were created to replicate the nuts from Ohio's state tree, the Buckeye tree.

    Rich n' Gooey Buckeye Bars

The peanut butter filling in these brownies, taste just like the peanut butter candy inside of the buckeye candy. For that part we used peanut butter and sweetened condensed milk.

So for the rest of the recipe, we used a boxed brownie mix, so this recipe is super easy to make!  We just added eggs, oil to Ghirardelli Double Chocolate Brownie Mix.

    Ingredients You Need

    • 1 boxed Ghirardelli Double Chocolate Fudge Brownie mix
    • 2 eggs
    • ⅓ cup cooking oil or coconut oil
    • 1 - 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
    • ½ cup peanut butter
    • ¼ cup peanut butter chips

How to make Rich n' Gooey Buckeye Bars

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray an 8x8 baking pan with non-stick spray; set aside.
    2. In a medium bowl, whisk together sweetened condensed milk and peanut butter until smooth. Set aside.
    3. In a large bowl, combine brownie mix, eggs, and oil and use electric mixer on medium speed until combined.
    4. Spread ½ of the brownie mixture evenly into baking pan.
    5. Pour and spread peanut butter mixture on top of brownie mixture in pan.
    6. Using a teaspoon or small scoop. drop remaining brownie mixture on top of the peanut butter layer. You can swirl it a little if you want to.
    7. Add peanut butter chips to the top.
    8. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until top is set and edges are lightly browned.
    9. Place brownies on baking rack to cool.
    10. After brownies have cooled, cut into bars. Makes 16 bars.

The peanut butter Truth be told, I never officially had "buckeyes" candy until I was in my twenties. (I guess I was care-free & sheltered.)  And when that moment finally happened? *Heavenly, rich, creamy peanut butter and chocolate deliciousness!*

Another love ----> I love brownies!!  In fact, the gooier the better, like these Ultimate Gooey Brownies.  These Rich n' Gooey Buckeye Bars are so rich and ooey-gooey, they literally melt in your mouth!

These Rich n' Gooey Buckeye Bars are perfect for Superbowl parties, potlucks, busy weekends and all the holidays, of course!
