Oreo Crust

Peanut Butter Filling

  • cream cheese, softened
  • creamy peanut butter
  • powdered sugar
  • vanilla extract
  • heavy whipping cream

How to Make Peanut Butter Buckeye Pie

Oreo Crust

  1. Pulse or crush Oreo cookies into crumbs.  Add melted butter to Oreo cookie mixture and mix well. Firmly press mixture onto bottom and up the side of a 9-in. pie plate. Place in freeze for 10-12 minutes while you make the filling.

Peanut Butter Filling

  1. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until very smooth. Beat in peanut butter until mixed well for 2 minutes, then mix in vanilla.
  2. Add powdered sugar one cup at a time on medium speed until mixture is evenly combined and mixed together.
  3. Mix in heavy whipping cream and then add mixture into crust and spread mixture evenly over filling.

Chocolate Ganache

  1. Place heavy cream in microwave for 1-2 minutes until boiling.  Add chocolate chips and peanut butter and let sit for one minute.  Whisk mixture together to get the smooth, glossy ganache.
  2. Spread ganache over the peanut butter filling covering to the edge of the pie. Chill for several hours before serving.

Other Ways to Serve Buckeye Pie

  • Add some whipped topping or peanut butter cups or both to really dress it up!  Whipped topping will lighten your dessert up some and is absolutely delicious with this Buckeye Candy Pie.
  • Could also add colorful sprinkles on top,  if you want to make this peanut butter chocolate pie festive for birthdays, holidays.
  • Make 1/2 of the ganache recipe and leave a 1 inch border around the pie when adding the ganache so it’s only covering the middle of the pie or drizzle chocolate back and forth across the pie for less chocolate ganache on top.

  • 25 Oreo Cookies crushed into crumbs

Peanut Butter Filling

  • 1 package 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 ¾ cups creamy peanut butter 16 oz jar (reserve 2 tablespoons for chocolate ganache)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream

  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
