The really creamy, divine cream cheese frosting paired with light and fluffy banana bars is REALLY ducky! 🙂 If you don't know what 'ducky' is? It means, it's all good! Kind of an old school adjective that a friend I used to work with, said all the time. I always thought it was a funny term!

I love banana anything so I tried making these today. My only deviation from the recipe was that I used brown sugar (I was fresh out of regular sugar) and mine turned out very flat and dense, not fluffy at all. Would using brown sugar cause that difference in consistency? Or do you any suggestions as to where I could have gone wrong?

These sound great and I planning to make them. Just wondering whether you use Salted or Unsalted butter.
Kim Lange says
I use unsalted but you could use salted, just omit salt when it's called out in desserts. Hope you enjoy Renee!!

I made these banana bars yesterday to take to work. They tasted amazing, then paired with the delicious cream cheese frosting, they were so good. I had so many compliments from co-workers, they were gone before lunch. I used 2 bananas and I felt that was a perfect amount ~ not too strong banana taste, but perfect. They were dense, but I loved that. I will definitely be adding this recipe to my list of favorite cakes. Thanks for the great recipe!!
