    This is such a great banana bread, in fact, you could call it 'perfect'.  This Perfect Chocolate Chip Banana Nut Bread has just the right amount of banana, chocolate chips and walnuts.

     It's not your norm, where you have chocolate chips and walnuts all throughout the banana bread, just on top.  (Pssst...but, you know, it's your creation, so add to your heart's content and make it perfect for you!)  You'll also love this new Super Easy Banana Bread Recipe! Moist & Delish!

    Perfect Chocolate Chip Banana Nut Bread

    I had the deliciousness of a bite of banana bread, then a bite with all those goodies on top. Perfect! Oh Em Gee!  It's so moist, dense, and full of true banana flavor.

    This Chocolate Chip Banana Nut Bread recipe couldn't be easier and it smells absolutely divine!  And it's very versatile, add less sugar, add more bananas or use wheat flour or use gluten-free flour. Use coconut oil, canola oil, or olive oil instead of butter.  Throw in ¼ cup Greek yogurt, shredded coconut or oatmeal for different textures.

    Ingredients You Need For Chocolate Chip Banana Nut Bread Recipe

    Banana Bread Recipe

    • bananas
    • butter
    • granulated sugar
    • all-purpose flour
    • salt
    • egg
    • baking soda
    • Ghirardelli 60% Bittersweet Chocolate Baking Chips
    • Walnuts

    How to Make Perfect Chocolate Chip Banana Bread 

    1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9x5 loaf pan with non-stick spray, set aside.
    2. Mash the bananas in a bowl.
    3. Add all the remaining ingredients and mix well with a wooden spoon. (Add more chocolate chips and walnuts to batter, if you want more that what is going on top.)
    4. Pour batter into loaf pan and then add chocolate chips and nuts on top.
    5. Bake 55 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck into the bread comes out clean.
    6. Slice and serve.

      As a rule of thumb, when substituting baking powder for baking soda, note that you will have to use triple the baking soda quantity being substituted. For example, a teaspoon of baking soda should be substituted with three teaspoons of baking soda. Hope that helps Rebecca. Happy Thanksgiving!

      I don't have any baking soda on hand but I do have baking powder. Can I substitute that instead? If so, how much baking powder do I use? Thanks in advance.

      I will definitely be making these in the near future. Looks so decadent and delicious. I cannot do without my chocolate! That is why I could never go on a diet that restricted you from eating sweets!
