This sweet and easy Valentine Chocolate Bark is a great way to celebrate Valentine's Day for chocolate and candy lovers alike!  Don't forget the sprinkles!  These combinations are what really makes this chocolate candy so fun and festive!  We even added in lovely pink swirls! YAY!

Seriously, this is one of the easiest candy bark recipes you can make and you can pick your own favorites to go on top.

I'm partial to jelly and gummy candies and the conversation hearts are super popular, so all I need to finish it off was some sweet Valentine's color coordinated sprinkles!

Ingredients You Need for Valentine's Day Chocolate Bark Recipe

    • 10 ounces Chocolate Melts, extra colored melts if adding swirl or see how to make swirl colored in instructions.  I love Ghirardelli chocolate melts!
    • Valentine Candies, any kind you want!
    • Sprinkles

Easy Valentine Chocolate BarkAbout the Chocolate Melts

    • For the chocolate, I love Ghirardelli Melting Chocolate Wafers.  It's delicious for fondues and candy dipping as well!
    • The wafers melt smoothly and set up firmly when used.  They are perfect to use with cake pops, fruits, and adding an extra sweet taste to your baked goods.
    • There's no need to break or chop bar and it melts more evenly with same size wafers and it has a Zip-up pouch, which makes it easier to portion out product and makes it easier to store between uses.
    • Wilton Candy Melts is another good choice and they have many colors.  Of course you can melt down chocolate chips as well or chopped candy bars, but do use a good quality chocolate, so you get great tasting chocolate, right? RIGHT! 🙂

How to Make the Valentine Bark!

    1. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper. Melt 10 ounces of chocolate melts in the microwave at 20 second intervals until completely melted.
    2. If you are adding a colorful swirl to the chocolate bark, take about 3-4 tablespoons of your melted chocolate into another container and add some type of oil based color to color your candy melts. Do not use water-based as this will seize up your chocolate.  The only way to maybe salvage it is to add some vegetable or canola oil to it, but not guaranteed.  Use something like Wilton Candy Colors or something similar.  It's concentrated oil-based colors that blend easily with candy melts.  Or to simplify, just buy some colored wafers and and melt them.  Set aside to make the chocolate bark.
    3. Pour the chocolate onto the parchment paper and spread it out using the back of a spoon or offset spatula.
    4. Add the colored chocolate by pouring it randomly over the chocolate.
    5. Using a knife, toothpick or lollipop stick, make swirling motions all over the pan to combine chocolates together.
    6. While the chocolate is still melted, add candies and decorative sprinkles on top.
    7. Place Valentine chocolate bark in fridge for at least one hour. Once it is set up, break into pieces and serve.
