Ingredients You Need
- 3 very ripe bananas
- granulated sugar or healthy sweetener
of choice
- brown sugar or healthy brown sugar sweetener of choice
- unsweetened applesauce
- water
- white vinegar
- all-purpose flour
- unsweetened baking cocoa
- baking soda
- salt
- Ghirardelli 60% Cacao Bittersweet Chocolate Chips
How to Make Banana Chocolate Snack Cake

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Spray 8x8 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
- In a medium size bowl, stir mashed bananas, sugars, applesauce, water, and vinegar until thoroughly combined.
- Stir in flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt until just until combined.
- Fold in ½ cup of chocolate chips and pour into prepared baking pan.
- Sprinkle remaining chocolate chips on top.
- Bake for 30 - 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted into cake comes out clean.
- Let cool, slice and serve.

- 1 teaspoon baking soda

- 1 cup Ghirardelli 60% Cacao Bittersweet Chocolate Chips divided

Interesting vinegar in the cake
batter !! I have never heard of putting vinegar in a cake batter. I am assuming it is white vinegar, is that correct ?? I am definitely going to bake this cake today, so could you please give me a reply back on the vinegar question.
