Red White & Blue Puppy Chow

This patriotic puppy chow is super simple to make!  Everyone always goes crazy when then know puppy chow has entered the room.

It's the perfect munchie food when you're watching a movie or attending 4th of July parties and get-togethers with friends and family as an irresistible side-snack!

Red White & Blue Puppy Chow

    When you Make Puppy Chow

    • When you make puppy chow, muddy buddies or whatever you call them, make sure you coat them entirely with the melted chocolate and peanut butter mixture for the first step.
    • We used equal parts of each to get the creamy, chocolate coating on all the nooks and crannies of the Chex cereal.
    • If you add too much cereal, then the powdered sugar won't adhere to the chocolate-peanut butter mixture. Melt some more chocolate and peanut butter if happens to be the case.
    • The other thing you want to do is, let them slightly cool and them coat them powdered sugar.  If you add the powdered sugar to coat the Chex mix while it's warm, it will soak up the powdered sugar. Then you'll have to add more, which is fine, but you're adding extra sugar.
    • Add some red, white and blue M&M candies and whatever else you want to customize your party mix!  We added in some marshmallows!
