"Always after me Lucky Charms!" We've all heard that before from the commercials on TV and then we mimic the phrase, usually in a flirtatious, fun way, right? (You know you have!!) I mean, it's such a cute, catchy little phrase. Who doesn't like to try to speak in an Irish accent anyways?
And who wouldn't love these Lucky Charm Marshmallow Rice Krispies to go along with that accent, I ask you? "Always after me Lucky Charms!"

Lucky Charm Marshmallow Rice Krispie Treats
Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 10.5 oz plus 2 cups mini marshmallows
- 5 cups Lucky Charms
- optional Rainbow Sprinkles
Instructions
- Butter a 9x13 pan
- Take large non-stick saucepan and melt butter on low heat.
- Add 1 package of marshmallows and stir keeping on low heat until they are melted into the butter. Then add in the last 2 cups and let them melt partially.
- Add in the Lucky Charms cereal and stir until the cereal is fully coated.
- Pour mixture into prepared pan and spread out around evenly with large spatula sprayed with non-stick spray or you can use butter.
- Press mixture down into pan evenly. (Don't over press, they become too compacted and hard). Optional: Add sprinkles immediately and press into treats.
- Let treats sit for 2 hours or so and cut into squares into preferred sizes.
- Seal treats after cutting.

Thank you, will do!
Drea, If you think they are too soft, just put them in the fridge for 10-15-ish mins, covered with saran wrap or tin foil to get them to firm up and then cut them. Sometimes if these kinds of treats stay out uncovered for too long they could become soggy depending on the moisture in the air they are cooling in from what I've read. Seal them after cutting. Thank you so much and I hope that helps!
I just made them and they look delicious! I've had them out for 2.5 hours and they seem a little too soft to cut. Did I do something wrong?
Just do the normal cereal recipe bars without extra marshallows:
4 cups of marshmallows
2 tablespoons butter
6 cups of Lucky Charms Cereal (could do a mixture of 3 cups rice krispies and 3 cups of lucky charms as well)
Pour cereal in a large bowl.
Melt butter and marshmallows over medium heat in a pan.
Once melted and smooth, pour the marshmallow mixture over the cereal in the large bowl.
Fold in melted marshmallows and mix until fully coated.
Spread into your prepared pan. Cut when cooled.
Hope that helps! 🙂
Thank you Elizabeth! So glad you enjoyed them. 🙂
How can i make these into actual cereal bars for the mornings were behind schedule? my girls love the breakfast bars with the breakfast cereals but foesnt seem worth the money to buy them store bc so expensive thanks in advance
These were yummy! Loved them and had fun with my girls making them! Thanks!
It's one bag plus 2 cups mini marshmallows Julianne. 🙂
quick question before i head to the store for this recipe!! 🙂
just 1 bag of the regular sized marshmallows?
If you like, yes. I just added them as a decorative touch when I shot the pictures.
Trying this recipe this weekend.
There are no instructions for when to add the sprinkles...I am assuming after they are in the pan?
Oh wow! That sounds good with chocolate chips 🙂
I have made these for years. The recipe was on the Lucky Charm box. Has a cup of chocolate chips in it.
Hi Cindy,
3 Conversions for Marshmallows:
8 Regular Marshmallows = 1 cup
10.5 oz bag Miniature = 5-1/2 cups
Marshmallows 10 oz 280 g = 40 large Marshmallows.
I would go with 60 marshmallows or 7 1/2 cups total. Happy Holidays!
All i could find was 2 bags of 400 g each regular marshmallow, not miniature so how many cups in total do i need??
