Ingredients

Milky Way Rice Krispies

  • ¼ cup butter
  • 10 oz marshmallows
  • 5 cups Rice Krispies
  • 1 cup Milky Ways chopped

Chocolate Drizzle & Milk Way Topping

  • ½ cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1 cup Milky Ways chopped

Instructions

Milky Way Rice Krispies

  • Melt butter in large saucepan over low heat.
  • Add marshmallows and continue stirring until completely melted.
  • Remove from heat and stir in Rice Krispies, stir until fully coated.
  • Fold in the chopped Milky Way Bars.
  • Press into a greased 9x9 pan (lightly butter your fingers to press easily) and sprinkle other cup of Milky Ways on top of rice krispies, gently pressing into the rice krispies and allow to cool.

Chocolate Drizzle:

  • Melt chocolate chips in microwave for 1 minute and stir. Microwave another 20 seconds and stir until fully melted. Pour chocolate into a piping bag or ziplock bag with a corner snipped off to drizzle chocolate on top of rice krispies or using a fork or spoon, drizzle chocolate over rice krispies.
  • Place treats in refrigerator for 5 - 10 minutes until chocolate is set.
  • Take a knife and slide tip around edges of rice krispies to loosen from sides of pan and cut.. Seal to keep fresh.

Notes

I use less rice krispies in my recipe, than most of the recipes out there. I like them more marshmallowy, makes them more delicious. If you prefer to add another 1/2 cup or cup of rice krispies, it's your call. 🙂 I wouldn't steer you wrong.
Next time, I'm adding the Caramel Drizzle too! 🙂 Enjoy!!

  1.   It adds a depth of flavor to the rice krispie treats and definitely elevates them to another level. Stir in RICE KRISPIES cereal. Remove from heat and add remaining 2 cups of marshmallows and rice krispies ceral.

  2. mmmm that chocolate drizzle! i won’t turn down a storebought rice krispie treat, but the homemade ones taste so much better (like basically everything in life). there’s something about the storebought ones that taste really checmically to me.

  3. Oh my word, can we just come and live in your kitchen?! These look AMAZING. And I love that you put less Rice Krispies in to make them more marshmallowy! Plus the Milky Way, I’m just drooling over here 😀

  4. Yum! These look so heavenly! It’s a good thing I don’t have any now because I would have to eat a couple bars for breakfast! Thanks for another great recipe, Kim! ☺
