It literally put me in heaven nom-nomming on these yummy, rich flavored bars! Not a bad thing to be in heaven, right? Sinful though!
Of course, it's the sweetened creamy condensed milk that make these bars so incredible moist and addicting. These Red Velvet 7 Layer Bars are O.M.G delicious! LOVE!

Red Velvet 7 Layer {White & Dark Chocolate Almond Coconut} Bars
Ingredients
- 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ⅛ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup butter softened
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 3 tablespoons buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 tablespoon liquid red food coloring
- 1 ¼ cups sweetened shredded coconut
- 1 cup dark chocolate chopped in chunks or dark chocolate chips
- 1 cup white chocolate chopped in chunks or white chocolate chips
- 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk I used Eagle Brand
- ⅔ cup almonds chopped or sliced can also use walnuts, pecans or macadamia nuts
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a small bowl, combine/whisk together the flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt, set aside.
- Cream together the butter and sugar for 3 minutes.
- Add the egg, buttermilk and red food coloring. Mix thoroughly.
- Add the flour mixture. Mix well.
- Spray a 9 x 9 pan with non-sticking cooking spray. Add parchment paper that overhangs the sides to cut into bars easier.
- Spread the red velvet cake batter on the bottom of the pan and bake this for 15 minutes and remove from the oven.
- First top with the cake with coconut, then the dark chopped chocolate or chips, then the white chopped chocolate or chips, followed by the almonds.
- Pour the can of sweetened condensed milk over all the goodies.
- Bake for another 30 minutes. Let set for at least 2 hours before cutting.
