    Holiday Eggnog Bread & Eggnog Glaze {Dried Cranberries & Nuts too}

    Are you an eggnog lover?  If so, you are going to really be craving this Holiday Eggnog Quick Bread. Here's a real sweet quick eggnog cranberry bread that is great for the holidays, that you will love!  The Eggnog Glaze gives it an extra eggnog kick that is really delicious, mellow and lovely.

    Holiday Eggnog Bread & Eggnog Glaze {Dried Cranberries & Nuts too}

    It's totally optional, but I added in some cranberries to give it some zing and tartness and on top I added some pecan bits for a little crunch and salt.  This eggnog bread would be a great addition to any holiday Christmas festivities or for your breakfast morning, with your hot chocolate or coffee.

    You could also make mini loaves or muffins and gift them as a wonderful gesture. 

    As far as eggnog desserts!  You'll want to hunker down and make these Easy Glazed Eggnog Drop Cookies, this Easy Eggnog Cheesecake & this Christmas Eggnog Cranberry Bread Pudding with Vanilla Rum Sauce.

    Holiday Eggnog Bread & Eggnog Glaze {Dried Cranberries & Nuts too}

    Ingredients for Holiday Eggnog Quick Bread

    • eggs
    • granulated sugar
    • eggnog
    • butter
    • vanilla extract
    • rum extract
    • all-purpose flour
    • baking powder
    • nutmeg
    • dried cranberries
    • confectioners sugar

    How to Make Holiday Eggnog Quick Bread

    Eggnog Bread

    1. In a large bowl, beat eggs, then add in sugar, eggnog, melted butter, vanilla and rum extracts, blending well.
    2. Add remaining ingredients, flour, baking powder and nutmeg and it's optional if you want to add in ⅔ cup dried cranberries, stir until just combined.
    3. Pour into a greased 9" X 5" loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes. (Bake longer if needed).
    4. Makes one loaf.

    Eggnog Glaze

    1. In a small bowl, add confectioners sugar, nutmeg and add enough eggnog to make it a glaze (1-4 tablespoons depending on thickness wanted)
    2. Whisk together and drizzle on bread.
    3. Optional: Add a handful of cranberries and pecans on top if you desire.

    Ingredients
      

    Eggnog Bread

    • 2 large eggs
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 1 cup eggnog
    • ½ cup butter melted

    • 2 teaspoons baking powder
    • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg

    • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
    • Add enough eggnog to make it a glaze 1-4 tablespoons depending on thickness wanted
    • Optional: Add a handful of cranberries and pecans on top if you desire.

    Don't over mix bread batter!
