More Variations & Substitutions For Your Peanut Butter and Jelly Smoothie

  • Switch out the strawberries with raspberries or cherries or switch out the blueberries with blackberries when you make this pb2 protein smoothie.  It’s better to use frozen fruit or frozen berries versus fresh fruit.  If you use fresh fruit, you’ll have to add ice or some frozen banana.
  • Want a super healthy PBJ smoothie to take to the next level of super food powers? Add a tablespoon of chia seeds, flaxseeds, hemp seeds for some omegas
  • Add in some almonds or oats to your smoothie for a nutritional boost to your body.
  • An alternative to almond milk is coconut milk, oat milk, cashew milk or soy milk.  You can also use whole milk.
  • More protein? Besides protein powder and Greek yogurt, there’s always cottage cheese.  It’s a great way to add some protein and if you need to sweeten it up, add frozen banana, maple syrup, agave nectar or some honey.
