I like to make it in the morning and serve it later that day. It takes anywhere from 4-8 hours to freeze this no churn ice cream before serving for the ice cream to harden and achieve a more firm, scoopable consistency.

Ingredients You Need

  • heavy cream – You’ll have to have a mixer to whip this up to get the right consistency to make the ice cream smooth and creamy!
  • sweetened condensed milk (feel free to use fat-free sweetened condensed milk for healthier option)
  •  fresh strawberries, pureed or mashed – puree or mash strawberries up as much you want.  I used a masher, but you could use a blender or food processor to break strawberries down with just a few pulses.  You want the berries to have lots of chunks of strawberries in your ice cream.
  • optional: red food coloring if you want strawberry color more vibrant
  • optional: 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract or strawberry extract

How to Make No Churn Strawberry Ice Cream

  1. Mash up strawberries as much as you want, set aside.
  2. Using a mixer on medium-high speed, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. 
  3. Add the sweetened condensed milk and most of the mashed strawberries to mixture (reserve some of the strawberry mixture to add on top (and if you want to add in any extracts or red food coloring, also fold that in as well.
  4. Pour ice cream mixture into 9 x 5-inch loaf pan or a 2-quart freezer container and cover completely with lid or plastic wrap/foil keeping air out completely.
  5. Freeze 4-6 hours or until firm. When ready to serve, I like to remove ice cream from freezer to let it soften up a bit for about 20 minutes to get the perfect consistency when scooping and devouring!

  • 2 cups heavy cream Do not use Cool Whip as a replacement, you need heavy whipping cream
  • 1 14 oz. can Eagle Brand® Sweetened Condensed Milk or fat-free sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 ½ cups fresh strawberries pureed or mashed
  • optional: red food coloring if you want strawberry color more vibrant
  • optional: 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract or strawberry extract
