3-4bars1.55 oz each Hershey's milk chocolate bars (add more if you wish)
Instructions
Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish. Set aside. Can also line with parchment paper for easy removal.
In a large saucepan over low heat, melt butter most of the way.
Save out 1 cup of marshmallows and add the remaining marshmallows to the butter and stir until you have a melted marshmallow mixture. Remove from heat.
Stir in cereal until combined.
Add remaining 1 cup marshmallows and stir to combine.
Add a few scoops of mixture to the bottom of the pan, quickly and gently press mixture down to make somewhat of a layer, it doesn’t have to be perfectly touching the sides of the pan. Add some of the chocolate bars and then add remainder of cereal mixture on top and gently press cereal into baking dish, without smushing too much or bars will be too hard to cut.
Layer remaining chocolate bars on top.
Let cool to room temperature before cutting and serving.
Notes
If you're having trouble with the cereal sticking to your hands, lightly spray them with nonstick baking spray or place parchment paper on top to light press mixture down in steps.
Can use ½ - ¾ cup chocolate chips add them in step 6.
Use fresh marshmallows to get best gooey texture!
If you don't have Hershey bars, you can melt some chocolate and drizzle it on top or add some milk chocolate chips instead of the bars.
