Cherry Buttercream Frosting
- 1 cup unsalted butter 2 sticks, softened
- 3 - 4 cups confectioner’s sugar sifted
- Pinch of salt
- 2 teaspoons cherry extract or vanilla extract (can also use maraschino cherry juice 2-3 tablespoons
- 2-3 tablespoons almond milk or cream
- 1-2 drops pink food gel

Soft Sugar Cookie Bars
Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease or line a 9x13-inch pan with parchment paper.
Cream butter, granulated sugar, and powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
Mix in flour, baking powder, and salt until combined.
Press dough evenly into the pan and bake for 12–15 minutes, checking at 12 minutes. The center will look slightly underbaked. Cool completely before frosting.
Cherry Buttercream Frosting
Cream butter until fluffy, then gradually mix in powdered sugar (½ cup at a time).
Add cherry extract, salt, and milk or cream as needed to achieve a light, fluffy consistency.
Optional: Add food coloring and sprinkles for decoration.
