Equipment

  • Loaf pan or 2 Ninja Creami pints
  • Ninja Creami optional

Ingredients

Base

Creaminess Boost (choose one, optional but recommended)

  • 4 tablespoons melted chocolate
  • 2 to 4 tablespoons neutral oil avocado or light olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons chocolate syrup
  • 4 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk

Optional Mix-Ins

  • Mini chocolate chips
  • crushed Oreos
  • brownie chunks
  • chocolate shavings

Instructions

Make the Frozen Yogurt

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together 4 cups Greek yogurt, 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, 6 to 8 tablespoons agave, 2 teaspoons vanilla, and 2 pinches salt until smooth and glossy.
  • Stir in 4 tablespoons melted chocolate (or 2 to 4 tablespoons neutral oil, 4 tablespoons chocolate syrup, or 4 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk) for a softer, creamier freeze.
  • Taste and adjust, adding more cocoa for richness or more sweetener to balance.
  • For scoopable froyo, spread into a loaf pan, press parchment directly on top, and freeze for 3 to 4 hours, stirring once halfway.
  • For the Ninja Creami, divide between two pints and freeze flat for 24 hours.
  • If using the Creami, process on the Lite Ice Cream or Ice Cream setting, then add a splash of milk and re-spin if it looks crumbly.
  • Otherwise, let the froyo sit at room temperature for 5 to 10 minutes, then scoop and enjoy.

Notes

Storage: Keep in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 weeks. Let it sit at room temperature for 5 to 10 minutes before scooping.
Texture: For the creamiest scoop without a machine, freeze for about 4 hours. Freeze longer for a firmer, more traditional frozen yogurt. Whole-milk Greek yogurt freezes creamier than low-fat or fat-free versions.
Nutrition values are estimates and will vary based on the brand of Greek yogurt and the creaminess booster used.
