Ingredients

Apple Blondie Brownies

Maple Cream Cheese Sauce

Garnish

  • Sprinkle with walnuts or pecans

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • For brownies, melt butter and mix with brown sugar. Add egg and vanilla; mix well.
  • Gradually mix in dry ingredients, then fold in apples, nuts, and white chocolate chips.
  • Pour batter into a greased 9-inch square pan and bake for 20–25 minutes.
  • While baking, make the sauce: cook syrup and butter over low heat until melted. Stir in brown sugar, then beat in cream cheese and maple extract until smooth.

Notes

If you wish to use the sauce later on, you can heat it again in the microwave until it reaches desired consistency.
