BANANA POUND CAKE

• Preheat oven to 350 and spray with a non-stick spray a 9x5 loaf pan and set aside.
• Using mixer, cream butter until light and fluffy; add sugar and mix until well blended.
• Add eggs one at a time, each time mixing until fully incorporated, then add vanilla and mix in.
• In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt.
• At low speed, add dry ingredients alternately with banana puree.
• Scrape cake batter into the prepared pan.
• Place in oven and bake until center of cake bounces back when lightly pressed with a finger or a toothpick comes out clean for about 60 minutes.
• Let sit in pan for 15 minutes before removing. Let cool.

CHOCOLATE FROSTING - 2 OPTIONS

OPTION 1 - STORE-BOUGHT MILK CHOCOLATE FROSTING IN THE TUB

• Add chocolate frosting in the tub by heating in microwave for 20-30 seconds and stir and pour onto the cake.  Let glaze set and serve when ready.

OPTION 2 - HOMEMADE MILK CHOCOLATE GLAZE

• Melt chocolate and butter in microwave 20 second increments until melted, approximately 2 minutes. 
• Using whisk or mixer, add powdered sugar and mix to get a nice consistency to pour over the pound cake.
• Let chocolate set, then slice and devour!  YUM!
