Peppermint Candy Brownie Trifle

Ingredients

  • 1 9x13 pan of brownies baked
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • BRACH’S crushed candy canes
  • 3 8 ounces Cool Whip or 9 cups of whipped cream
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 10 chocolate sandwich cookies crushed or broken into bits
  • 1 ½ cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup hazelnut chocolate spread add more if desired
  • ¼ teaspoon peppermint extract add more if desired
  • BRACH’S Peppermint Candy Canes Holiday Heat Candy Canes, or Cherry Candy Canes

Instructions

Peppermint Brownies

  • Bake brownies and cool completely. Pipe melted white chocolate on top, sprinkle with crushed candy canes, and chill to set.

Cookies & Cream Filling

  • Crush chocolate sandwich cookies. Mix cream cheese, 1/4 cup hazelnut spread, half the whipped cream, and crushed cookies. Stir in half the marshmallows.

Peppermint Whipped Cream

  • Mix remaining whipped cream with peppermint extract.

Assembling the Trifle

  • Layer 1/3 of brownie cubes at the bottom of a trifle bowl, chocolate sides outward. Add half the cookies and cream filling, dollops of hazelnut spread, and half the peppermint whipped cream.
  • Repeat layers with remaining brownies, cookies and cream filling, hazelnut dollops, marshmallows, and whipped cream.
  • Garnish with crushed candy canes, candy canes, and brownies in the center. Chill until ready to serve.

Notes

  • Whipped Cream - can also substitute with whipping 4 cups of heavy whipping cream, plus 3/4 cup powdered sugar for stabilizing whipping cream.
