Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, beat butter until creamy.
Add brown sugar and maple syrup. Beat until light and fluffy.
Mix in egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract until combined.
Add dry ingredients and mix until dough forms.
Scoop dough into balls (about 3 tablespoons each).
Roll into smooth balls, coat in granulated sugar, and chill for 15–30 minutes.
Place 6 dough balls per sheet and bake 10–12 minutes, until edges are set.
While cookies are still warm, gently press in pretzels for antlers, candy eyes, and a red M&M nose.
Let cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
