White chocolate coating:
- 2 cups white chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil or neutral oil
Heat-treat flour in a microwave-safe bowl for 90 seconds, whisking every 30 seconds. Cool completely.
Beat butter and sugar until creamy. Add vanilla and milk, mixing well.
Add salt and cooled flour. Mix until dough forms. Fold in M&Ms.
Line a baking sheet with parchment. Scoop 1 tablespoon portions of dough and chill 10 minutes. Roll into smooth balls and chill again while melting coating.
Melt white chocolate chips with oil in 30 second bursts, stirring between each, until smooth.
Dip chilled dough balls in melted chocolate. Place back on parchment.
Top with sprinkles and chill 5–10 minutes until coating sets.
-
Always cool heat-treated flour before mixing to avoid melting the M&Ms.
-
Mini M&Ms work best, but regular M&Ms can be chopped into smaller pieces.
-
Store truffles in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
-
Freeze up to 2 months. Thaw at room temperature 10–15 minutes before serving.
-
Make dairy-free with vegan butter, non-dairy milk, and dairy-free white chocolate.
