Chocolate Lasagna Recipe

    Cookie Layer

    • Place cookies in a resealable plastic bag and finely crush cookies with rolling pin or use a food processor and pulse to get cookie crumbs.
    • Add melted butter to cookie mixture, and mix well. Press mixture into bottom of a 9- x 13-inch baking dish; chill until ready to use.

    Cream Cheese Layer

    • In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese, vanilla, and confectioners' sugar until smooth. Stir in 2 cups whipped topping. Lightly spread mixture evenly over cookie crust.

    Chocolate Pudding Layer

    • In a large bowl, whisk together chocolate pudding and milk until thick. Evenly spread over cream cheese layer. Refrigerate 10 to 15 minutes, or until pudding is set.

    Whipped Cream Layer With Toppings

    • Spread remaining whipped topping over pudding layer and sprinkle with any of the following: mini chocolate chips, cookie crumbs, chocolate curls or shavings or a combination of all.
    • Refrigerate 4 to 6 hours, or until set or overnight.

    Notes

    Substitutions for Lasagna

    • Substitute Cool Whip with fresh whipped cream easily! You'll need 2 ½ to 3 cups of heavy whipping cream and ¼ cup of powdered sugar to make a freshly sweetened whipped cream. Using a mixer, whip it for 3-4 minutes at medium to medium high speed to get stiff peaks of whipped cream! Easy, peasy!
    • You can use a different pudding other than chocolate! Make this your own lasagna creation with your favorite flavors, like lemon, vanilla or butterscotch!
    • Chocolate cookies can be replaced by vanilla cream cookies, peanut butter nutter butter cookies or whatever you prefer!
