Ingredients

Graham Cracker Crust

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs 13 sheets pulsed into crumbs
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar

Strawberry Layered Dessert & Whipped Cream Layers

  • 2 ½ cups fresh strawberries sliced/chopped, add more for top of dessert if desired
  • 3 cups heavy whipping cream or 6 cups of whipped topping
  • 1 ¼ cups powdered sugar
  • 2 8 oz packages cream cheese softened
  • 4 tablespoons strawberry jello dry from package
  • optional red food coloring for more pink colored strawberry filling

Instructions

Make Graham Cracker Crust

  • Make the graham cracker crust by mixing graham cracker crumbs, melted butter and 1 tablespoon granulated sugar together. Spray pan with non-stick spray and then press into an 8 inch baking dish/pan. Set in fridge while you make the layers.

Add Chopped Strawberry Layer

  • Take 1 1/2 cups of sliced up strawberries, and pat dry with a paper towel, then layer on top of graham cracker crust.  Reserve the remaining 1 cup of strawberries and chop them up, finely, pat dry with a paper towel. Set aside for strawberry mousse.

Make Whipped Cream (to also add in strawberry mousse/cream cheese filling & top)

  • In a large mixing bowl, mix together the whipping cream and ½ cup of powdered sugar for 4-6 minutes to get whipped cream and transfer to another bowl to make the cream cheese filling, set aside/fridge.  Should make 6 cups.

Make a Cream Cheese Filling (to also add in mousse)

  • In another bowl, using a mixer, mix together softened cream cheese until smooth.
  • Add in 2 1/2 cups of the whipped cream, ½ cup powdered sugar and mix together well. Reserve 1 cup of this cream cheese filling to add to strawberry mousse, set aside.

Add Cream Cheese Layer

  • Add the cream cheese filling and layer on top of strawberries. Make the strawberry mousse.

Make Strawberry Mousse

  • In a bowl, add the 1 cup of finely chopped strawberries, 1 cup of the whipped cream and the reserved 1 cup of cream cheese filling, and 3-4 tablespoons dry strawberry jello. Fold together. If you want more pink color, add in some a little red food coloring and mix. You could also use strawberry powder.

Layer Strawberry Mousse

  • Layer strawberry mousse on top of cream cheese layer.

Add Whipped Cream Layer

  • Add remaining 2 ½ cups of whipped cream to the top of the dessert and smooth out evenly or pipe the whipped cream on top if you wish.

Decorate Top with Strawberries

  • Place additional strawberries on top, if desired when you serve dessert. Can also add sprinkles or dust with  freeze dried strawberry powder.
  • Dessert needs to be chilled 4 hours or overnight.  Serve and enjoy this strawberry layered delight!
