Cinnamon Applesauce Bread

This super-easy Applesauce Bread recipe is deliciously tasty, moist and full of apple and cinnamon fall flavor!  It’s the perfect quick bread when you want simple, comforting applesauce bread.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup oil of choice I used olive oil
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar use monkfruit for sugar-free option
  • ¼ cup brown sugar packed, use monkfruit for sugar-free option
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup unsweetened applesauce or sweetened applesauce can be used
  • ¼ cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ¾ cup all-purpose flour for healthy option, substitute flour with 3/4 cup whole wheat flour & 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon add 1 extra teaspoon for more cinnamon flavor!
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line the bottom of a 9X5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper. Lightly spray the insides of the pan with non-cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl, whisk the oil, granulated sugar and brown sugar together
  • Next, add the eggs, whisking until well combined.
  • Add the applesauce, vanilla, and Greek yogurt and whisk together until smooth.
  • Add the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt and stir together just until combined, without overmixing batter.
  • Pour the batter into prepared loaf pan and spread into an even layer.
  • Bake for 45-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean or with just moist crumbs.
  • Remove from oven. Run a knife gently around the side of the pan and then remove bread onto a cooling rack.
