Ingredients

Peach Dump Cake

  • 2 15.25 oz. cans sliced peaches in heavy syrup
  • Or
  • 6-8 peaches chopped with ¼ to ½ cup of sugar mixed in together
  • ¾ cup salted butter cut into thin slices
  • 1 15.25 oz. box white or yellow cake mix
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Optional: pecans

Vanilla Glaze

  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream or milk of choice

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°. Spray a 9x13 inch pan with non-stick cooking spray.

Peach Dump Cake

  • Add the peaches and the syrup from the cans into the pan and spread out evenly. If using fresh chopped peaches, mix them with ¼ - ½ cup of sugar and spread out on bottom of pan evenly.
  • Pour the dry cake mix over the peach mixture, patting into an even layer using your hands or a spoon.
  • Layer the sliced butter evenly over the top of the cake mix, making sure to get in the corners of the cake.
  • If adding pecans, add them on top of the cake. ( I did ½ with pecans and ½ without.)
  • Bake until the top of the cake is golden brown and the peach mixture is bubbly, about 45 - 50 minutes.

Vanilla Glaze

  • If you want to add a glaze on top, mix together ½ cup of powdered sugar and a little heavy cream or milk to get a nice glaze consistency. Pour it into a ziplock bag and snip an end and pipe some criss-cross lines on top, if desired.
  • Serve warm, with vanilla ice cream for the ultimate treat!
