Home-Made Vanilla Extract {Vanilla Beans + Vodka}

Home-made rich and creamy vanilla extract made with Madagascar Vanilla Beans and Svedka Vodka.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Svedka Vodka / 750 ml - 1/2 cup I took 1/2 cup out to make 3 cups
  • 15 Madagascar Vanilla Beans

Instructions

  • Use a knife to split the bean in half and, leave about ½ inch at each end intact.
  • Put your vanilla beans in your bottle of vodka.
  • Close bottle tightly and store in a cool, dry place for up to 8 weeks.
  • Give the bottle a shake every week or so.

Notes

Use your own choice of liquor and vanilla beans. Patience is a virtue, but worth the wait!
