Good news!  If you love the idea of munching healthy, chocolate guiltless pleasures that have a modern, edgy side, you might want to try these inviting Californian eos chocolates.

I love trying new products, especially when it involves chocolate!!  BAM!  And these are all made with fair-trade, organic or sustainably farmed ingredients!

In fact, if you want a little spice in your life, I can highly recommend the Chocolate Covered Almonds with Chili  or the Strawberry Habenero Chocolate Bark!  Of course, I’m all about the Chocolate Covered Almonds with Himalayan Salt for my sweet and salty cravings to be met.  🙂

Catherine von Ruden, the amazing creator of eos chocolates graciously sent me all these delicious chocolate treats and in return for chocolate nibbles, I’m sharing with you my honest opinion and experience while happily indulging.

Dark Chocolate Covered California Almonds

So, ya want a little kick in the pants?  Because that’s what you’ll get with these dark chocolate covered almonds!  Just the right amount of chipotle chili  and cayenne spice to get your tongue a waggin’.

Himalayan Salt Chocolate Covered California Almonds

These almonds were one of my favorites!  (besides the Sunflower Hemp & Pepita Bark and the Chocolate Energy Bar!)  Sweet and salty dark chocolate covered crunchy almonds!  Yes please!!   I’m a complete sucker for these kinds of treats and wanted to finish off the whole bag, but I had more sampling to do.  So, I’ll see you later my little salted chocolate almond friends!  ha!

All the almonds and barks are made of high percentage cocoa (70%) to ensure just the right amount of sweetness to satisfy your cravings. I concur. 🙂

Classic Dark Chocolate Covered California Almonds

And of course, these are just classic dark chocolate covered almonds from California!  Who could resist?  Really?!

Strawberry Habanero Bark

I would have never thought of this concoction of freeze-dried strawberries, dark chocolate and habaneros.  Wha???

I shy away from habanero anything for the most part, but we’re talking chocolate right?

So I took a walk on the wild side.  Not bad!!  It is quite spicy, but it pairs quite well with the tart strawberries and rich chocolate.  I don’t do well with spicy, so I could only eat a small amount, but for those that love spicy, you should really go for it!

Mango Habanero Bark

For more habanero-inspired chocolate bark, how about some bits of freeze-dried mango for a fruit change up, with a pinch of Himalayan sea salt?  I know some guys at work that are always trying habanero pepper stuff, so this is definitely right down their alley!  I’ll have to share this, I suspect.

Peppermint Candy Bark

Dark chocolate bark with peppermint candy cane and Himalayan salt for the upcoming holidays, is a very special treat!  This is definitely the way to celebrate the season!

Sunflower Hemp and Pepita Bark

Psst….I learned something new.  Pepita is an edible pumpkin seed!  Did you know that?  If not, now you know too!  I’m familiar with the other organic Hemp and Sunflower seeds, but I have to tell you, this is pretty wonderful and I definitely need more of this deliciousness!

Chocolate Energy Bar

This bar has everything you could ever dream of and it’s good.  Seriously yummy!  It consists of fair-trade cocoa nibs, honey, rolled oats, almonds, coconut sugar, sunflower seeds, hemp seeds, coconut oil,  flaxseed meal, chia seeds, vanilla extract and himalayan salt.  Normally I don’t like these kinds of bars, they just taste blah, but those cocoa nibs rock it!  It’s sad to say…I’ve never had cocoa nibs being the chocoholic that I am, but this bar has changed that.  Yay!

These would be wonderful snacking or a quick energy boost for the kids as well as the adults in your family.

Catherine von Ruden’s creative journey began 6 years ago with the realization that she could contribute to overall healthy diets by making treats using less sugar. For all who want to enjoy sweetness on a daily basis, she offers products that are healthier and rich in flavor.

Having grown up in Switzerland, with a love for all things natural, and also with a passion for creating desserts and treats, she turned to her roots and started working with chocolate as well as almonds grown on the family’s farm in California.  What a life!  Wondering if I could live on this farm Catherine?  (I might eat up all the profits!)

Anywhoo, if you’re on a healthy, organic path in your life and you want something without all the preservatives and already made, I highly recommend giving any of these sweet treats a try or treating them to friends and family.

OH Ladies!! You have to check out the eos Chocolate Man.

A sweet man for every mood in dark, milk or white chocolate.  Don’t you just love that!?  YES!

More Healthy Treats!
