Red, White and Blue Bombers {Jell-O Shots}

S-C-O-R-E!!!

You could call me the “Jello Shot” Queen around these neck of the woods!  I enjoy and love bringing them to parties and sharing in the camaraderie of slurping down Jell-O shots with friends and getting a nice buzz on at the same time.  Party = Jello Shots! Especially with these Red White and Blue Jello Shots with vodka!

We grew up with Jell-O being fun food, but these are even ‘fun-ner’, obviously because these bombers are infused with alcohol! (I know funner isn’t considered an acceptable word…yet!)  By the end of 2012, Time magazine considered ‘selfie’ one of the “top 10 buzzwords” of that year.    So…yea…’funner’ might have a chance…keep waiting!  🙂

Red, White and Blue Bombers {Jell-O Shots}

Each of these Red White and Blue Jello Shots have a raspberry, cherry and coconut layer with Pinnacle Marshmallow Vodka and I’m not kidding…these flavors are fantastic together.

Perfect for Memorial Weekend or 4th of July Holiday! (and any other dang time you want)  Enjoy!!

Ingredients

Blue Layer

  • 1 3 oz small box blue raspberry jello
  • cup water
  • cup Marshmallow Flavored Vodka

White Layer

  • ½ cup coconut milk
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 packet Knox Gelatin
  • ½ cup Marshmallow Flavored Vodka
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla

Red Layer

  • 1 3 oz small box cherry jello
  • cup water
  • cup Marshmallow Flavored Vodka

Instructions

  • Take a large baking sheet and spray lightly with cooking spray 20-25 (1-oz.) plastic shot glasses and set aside.

Blue Layer

  • Add 2/3 cup boiling water to blue raspberry jello mix in small bowl; stir 2 min. until completely dissolved. Repeat with cherry jello mix. Cool 10 minutes.

White Layer

  • To prepare the coconut layer, pour milk into a small saucepan. Sprinkle gelatin packet on top of the milk and let it rest for 5 minutes. After resting, stir and break up the gelatin.
  • Turn on medium heat until the gelatin dissolves and stir well, until it comes to a boil. Remove from heat and add sugar and vanilla and stir to dissolve, add in your vodka, stir and let cool 10 minutes.
  • Pour or spoon blue raspberry jello into plastic shot glasses adding about 2 teaspoons to each. Refrigerate 15 minutes or until set but not firm.
  • Pour with coconut jello mixture on top of blue layer, adding about 2 teaspoons to each cup and refrigerate 10 minutes or until set but not firm.

Red Layer

  • Last layer with cherry jello, adding about 2 teaspoons to each cup.
  • Refrigerate 2 hours or until firm.
  • Remove from cups before serving or just suck them out of the plastic cup! That's how 'us' Hoosiers do it!

Notes

  • Just make sure you don’t eat them all before you time to share them with your friends! 🙂 These are definitely 'da bombs'!! 🙂
  • If you don't want to use coconut milk, you can use regular milk or cream, but you can't taste the coconut at all..just sayin. 🙂
  • If you want this kid-friendly, just omit the alcohol and replace with water!
