Welcome to Milky Way Caramel Apple Cheesecake land!  This luscious caramel cheesecake is toppled with lovely, gooey caramel, chunks of tart Granny Smith apples and rich Milk Way Caramel Bars!  The presentation is beautiful with all those popping fall colors and it tastes amazing!  Who doesn’t love cheesecake!?

Amazingly, this Caramel Apple Cheesecake phenomena was inspired by a can of  Dulce de Leche Caramel Flavored Sauce. I saw it sitting on the shelf, literally screaming out my name. And from there, the bag of Milky Way Caramel Bars I had at home, came into play and voila!

Ingredients You Need

Graham Cracker Crust

  • cinnamon or regular graham cracker crumbs, about 15 whole crackers
  • butter, melted
  • brown sugar

How to Make Caramel Apple Cheesecake  

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F
  2. Combine graham cracker crumbs, brown sugar and butter, press firmly onto bottom of 9” springform pan.
  3. Using a mixer, beat cream cheese until light and fluffy.
  4. Gradually beat in 1 can of caramel sweetened condensed sauce until smooth.
  5. Add eggs, flour and vanilla and mix well.
  6. Pour mixture into baking pan.
  7. Bake in preheated oven 1 hour. Cake should be a little jiggly in the middle. (It will continue to cook as it cools.)
  8. Cool thoroughly and then chill 4 hours or overnight.

15 Minutes Before Serving

  1. Cut up 2 apples and sautee in butter for 5-7 minutes, and let cool.
  2. Spoon and scatter cooled apples on top of cheesecake and then drizzle the caramel on top of the apples.
  3. Add chopped Milky Way Caramel Apple Candy bars on top and serve immediately.

Helpful Tips

  • If this dessert is one you plan on not eating all at once, I would recommend adding a teaspoon or two of lemon juice to the apples, so they don’t brown and make sure you seal the dessert well.
  • You can also sauté the apples a couple minutes longer.

Ingredients
  

Graham Cracker Crust

  • 2 pkgs cream cheese 8 oz each, softened
  • 1 can Eagle Brand® Dulce de Leche Caramel Flavoured Sauce 300mL
  • 4 eggs
  • cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Caramel Apple Milky Way Topping

  • 2 Granny Smith apples or whatever your flavor of choice is, cut into chunks or slices
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 to 1-1/2 cups caramel topping or sauce
  • 10 mini size Milky Way Caramel Apple Candy Bars cut into quarters

  1. Hi Lauren, from what I’ve researched as a rule of thumb, adding starches like cornstarch, potato starch or flour makes the cheesecake denser and also does not crack as easily from overbaking. Hope you enjoy!!

  2. This looks really good! I want to make a taller cheesecake in a 10 inch springform pan. How would you recommend adjusting the cheesecake recipe? Also, what is the reason for the addition of flour in the batter?
