I haven’t posted any chocolate recipes on the blog for about a month.  That is totally unacceptable and I hope you will forgive me.

I’m a bad chocolate mom. *holds head in shame*.  Especially when everyone that knows me, knows chocolate is my every ‘thing’.  Ugh…but when it comes to desserts, there are so many avenues one can venture down and they all win in my book!

Anyways, chocolate is back in a big way with these comforting, homemade chocolate chunk brownies.  MY favorite dessert of all time, brownies!  Are you on board with loaded chocolate chunk brownies too?

Why I Love This Fudgy Chocolate Chunk Brownies!

  • Super easy to make on the brownie batter on the stovetop in about 5 minutes! No large bowl or hand mixer needed!
  • You can take these brownies to the next level, by using your favorite chopped milk chocolate or dark chocolate bars, chunks or chips to bring out even more chocolate flavor.  Yes, we went there!
  • If you’re afraid it’s too much chocolate, I can assure you it’s not, as long as you don’t go chocolate chunk or chip overload.  Then that is on you. 🙂 You can control it and honestly, we just put in a half cup’s worth total.  Some were added in the brownies and then we topped them off with some more chocolate chunks for visuals.
  • There is no baking powder or baking soda in this brownie recipe. I like brownies to be very fudgy and the texture on the denser side, not cake-like.
  • See that crackly chocolate?  Well you get that by adding in the chocolate chunks at the end while the brownie mixture is still warm.  Thank you!  Then add some more on top for extra chocolate drama!
  • Who doesn’t love a fudgy brownie loaded with chocolate flavor?  That’s what you get with this chocolate chunk brownie recipe!

  1. I make tons of brownies and actually made a brownie recipe that was absolutely underwhelming. Not this recipe…it’s probably the best recipe I’ve made yet and I’ve been baking for well over 50 years. You must try it…its well worth the effort.

  2. I love brownies, and I think I’m pretty good at making them (Well haven’t baked any for a long time), but these ones? I swear these are one of the best brownies I’ve ever seen! Such a wonderful texture and exterior – just like perfect brownies should look like.
