Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers out there in the world! Being a father takes great courage. Fathers represent the pillars of the family. They made us feel safe, gave us a sense of security and loved to tickle and tease us so!
It doesn’t matter who my father was; it matters who I remember he was. – Anne Sexton
Father’s Day was added to the list of celebrated holidays as a way to honor Dad’s all over the world for the wonderful job they do, during the first part of the twentieth century. In 1966, the presidential proclamation was signed that made Fathers Day an official holiday to be celebrated on the 3rd Sunday of every June. However, it was not recognized until 1972. It has been widely celebrated ever since and why not? We have Mother’s day, so Father’s should be recognized equally right?
And how about a shout out to all the mothers doing it?! “Happy Father’s Day”
Be sure to let your father know how much he is loved and appreciated this Father’s Day. Hugs and sharing a little chocolate is always good. In my father’s case, he would share his Captain Morgan. 🙂
Here’s a little message to my dad, that my sisters and brother have said from the beginning of our lives. He is the….Much love!
