Why We Love These Copycat Applebee’s Blondie Brownies

Indulge in the ultimate apple-lover’s treat: loaded blondies, served warm and topped with creamy ice cream and a decadent cream sauce. This irresistible dessert is inspired by the famous dish from Applebee’s, ensuring every bite is pure perfection.

We went for a fall vibe and added apples!  For the apple choice, I love those Granny Smith apples when it comes to baking, but feel free to add in your favorite apple flavor to these blondie brownies or leave them out.   It’s whatever your little heart desires.  Don’t they look scrumptious?

We also add in some white chocolate chips and walnuts and then topped them off with a decadent Maple Cream Cheese Glaze to give it some sweetness. Plus some ice cream!!  Hello!  This is top level yumminess!  Are you ready to dig in?

Instructions How to Make Copycat Applebee’s Blondie Brownies

Maple Walnut Blondie brownie recipe

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Brownies

  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt butter, add brown sugar, and mix well.
  2. Add egg and vanilla and mix well.
  3. Combine dry ingredients and gradually add to wet mixture.
  4. Stir apples, nuts and white chocolate chips into the batter.
  5. Pour into a 9-inch greased square pan and bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes.
  6. While brownies are baking, make the sauce.

Maple Cream Sauce

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine maple syrup and butter, cook over low heat until butter is melted. Stir in brown sugar until dissolved and remove from heat. Beat in cream cheese and maple extract until smooth.

To dish Maple Walnut Blondie

  1. Place a heaping scoop of vanilla ice cream on the warm brownie and drizzle with sauce and additional walnuts if desired.  Nothing better!

Ingredients
  

Apple Blondie Brownies

  • 1 cup flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • teaspoon baking soda
  • teaspoon salt
  • cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 Granny Smith Apple chopped
  • ½ cup white chocolate chips
  • ½ cup walnuts or pecans

  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • ½ teaspoon maple extract or maple flavoring

Garnish

  • Sprinkle with walnuts or pecans

Notes

If you wish to use the sauce later on, you can heat it again in the microwave until it reaches desired consistency.

  1. Julie, I have the migraine issue as well. I can drink it after dinner on occasion, but it affects me if I try to drink it in then morning. 🙁 So, there is no morning drinking. Darn migraines! Thanks for pinning, posting and have a great day!

    And I too love coffee but it doesn’t love me. Migraines or tummy trouble, but not every time. It’s like playing Russian roulette because I refuse to stop drinking it a few times a week 🙂
