Ingredients
1boxWhite Cake Mix
2largeeggs
¼cupcanola oil
1 ¼cupsMountain Dew
3-5tablespoonsLime Jell-O
3drops yellow dyeoptional
¼teaspoonlemon extract or lemon juice
Mountain Dew Buttercream Frosting
1cupunsalted buttersoftened
⅓cupMountain Dew
1-3tablespoonsLime Jello mix
1 - 2tablespoonscream or milk
¼teaspoonlemon extract
Optional: 2-3 drops yellow dye
Lucky charms and sprinkles
3 ½ - 4 cupsPowdered sugar
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees, Line a muffin tin with liners.
Mix up cake mix with all the ingredients mentioned and bake cupcakes according to directions on box.
Do not overfill, about 2/3 full should be good. (Even if you do, it's ok!)
Bake for 15 minutes, watch them carefully, these burn easily. Use a toothpick to test for doneness.
Mountain Dew Buttercream Frosting
Beat butter till creamy and smooth.
Add in powdered sugar, 1 cup at a time, making sure to combine completely.
Once all the powdered sugar is combined, add the remainder of the ingredients and beat well.
Frost cooled cupcakes either with a filled pastry bag with a round tip, or snip a hole out of a ziplock bag and pipe onto the cupcakes.
Add some lucky charms and sprinkles!

Notes
I think you could try a lemon cake mix, omit the lemon extract or juice if you do, with the exception of the frosting, leave it in there!
