Skinny Chocolate Almond Banana Breakfast Shake

I have been making a lot of smoothies and nice creams lately, because of workouts and meal replacements and this low-calorie smoothie is delish!

It’s filling, decadently delicious, but low in calories. And this chocolate banana nutty smoothie is really, really good for you. **BONUS** 🙂

Ingredients You Need

  • 1 banana 100 Calories, sliced and frozen
  • ⅔ cup vanilla unsweetened almond milk 30 calories
  • 2 tablespoons almond butter or peanut butter OR PB2 2 tablespoons 190 calories, 45 calories
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ -1 cup ice
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon honey, 1 teaspoon sunflower seeds sprinkle of chocolate chips, chia seeds, flax seeds, 1 scoop protein powder 1 scoop oatmeal, handful of berries

How to Make Chocolate Almond Butter Banana Breakfast Smoothie 

  1. Simply combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Serve immediately and see how rich it tastes, but it’s healthy!!

Chocolate Almond Butter Banana Shake Options

For some other options, you could add in some frozen berries, flax or chia seeds for some extra anti-oxidants or add in a scoop of your favorite protein powder, Greek yogurt or some oats for an extra punch of protein.  

Hey!  It’s vegan and gluten-free too!  🙂  You can change it up with peanut butter, cashew butter or which ever ‘nut butter’ tickles your fancy.  (You know…that sounds kind of funny, but ‘it is what is is’, right? LOL

  1. Sneh, because it has ice and frozen bananas in it, I am not sure? It won’t be like after just blending it up so it’s like a frosty. 🙁

  2. I have just about begun my journey to detoxing, eating, living clean. I plan to make this yummy shake and take it to work in my sweet little mason jar glass that I carry my green tea in otherwise. But if i make this in the morning and consume it some 2-3 hours later as my mid morning or afternoon snack, would it still be as healthy and nutritious? (considering that you mentioned – consume immediately..)
