How to Make Reese’s Chocolate Chip Cake Mix Cookie Bars

  • Take an 8×8 or 9×9 pan, and spray with a nonstick spray. (For thicker 8×8 and thinner 9×9, I prefer the thicker, as pictured.)
  • Using mixer or by hand, mix cake mix, salt, eggs, vanilla, milk, melted butter until combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips, peanut butter chips and Mini Reese Cups.
  • Spread batter into the pan and smooth out with an angled spatula that has been sprayed with a non-stick spray or use lightly spray hands with non-stick spray and press into pan.  Dough will be very sticky.
  • Barely press some chocolate chips and Reese Cups into the top of the cookie. The bars will rise, so you don’t want to push them deep into the cookie batter.
  • Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes, until light golden brown.
  • Allow to cool completely on cooling rack before cutting.

Pro Baking Tip

Lining your baking pan with foil or parchment paper and then spraying with a non-stick spray is a technique you can use for less mess when making brownies or bars. It’s easy to lift out of the pan onto the cooling rack.
