How to Make Blueberry Jello Shots

  1. In a microwavable bowl, add water and the Blue Raspberry Jolly Ranchers and place in microwave until boiling and Jolly Ranchers are melted.
  2. Pour the Blueberry Jello into a medium sized bowl.
  3. Pour the boiling water/Jolly Rancher mixture into the Blue jello and whisk or stir, until jello granules are melted.
  4. Add in the whipped cream vodka and mix well.
  5. Pour into non-stick cooking sprayed shot glasses or containers, to keep them from sticking on a baking sheet sealing them with the lids.
  6. Chill the shots for 2-3 hours. Store in the refrigerator until you’re ready to Serve and Celebrate!

Garnish with whipped cream, maraschino cherries, a pineapple wedge or whatever floats your boat!  Especially when it comes to Halloween, there’s always candy corn or sprinkles!

You Can Prep & Make These 1 to 2 days Before Serving

  • Make these jello shots a day or two in advance in the jello shot cups with only 5 minutes of prep time.

Alcohol Tips

  • Do not add more alcohol than recommended above. Alcohol has a different (lower) freezing point than water. If you add too much alcohol, the jello will not set up and gel.
  • Liquor with a higher alcohol content, sets up at a lower temperature.  So use less if this is the case.

Storing Jello Shots

Jello shots can stay good for a long time if stored in an air-tight container in the fridge. But after three to five days, they start to lose their taste. If they’re left out for too long, they can get moldy, change color, or start to smell bad.

Make Other Jello Shot Flavors

You can pick any flavor of Jell-O you want. From grape, cherry, orange, lemon, sour apple, blueberry or lime, you’ll be able to make whatever kind of jello shot recipe you want to come up with going forward. You have to make these first, right? 🙂

Make your own favorite using your favorite jello flavor along with your favorite booze, like a coconut rum or blue raspberry vodka, to give you an idea!  Don’t forget the Jolly Rancher flavors too! They really amp up the flavors!

Each box of gelatin mix is 3 ounces and it will make about 10 shots. It’s smart to make several different kinds, so let’s make some YUM!

  1. Yes, I’m trying to make them non-alcoholic. So you just substitute water or juice for vodka and don’t do whipped cream?

  2. Marissa, are you trying to make them non-alcoholic? If you use whipped cream, they won’t have the same texture as Jell-O. If you want to just substitute with water or juice for the vodka that would be fine.

  3. Can you replace the whipped cream flavored vodka with plain whipped cream? Or can you do the recipe without it?

  4. How much cold water do u add to the berry boo jello shots ? Only the boiling water is listed
